Classification of Jñāna based on Guņa

·         The Jñānam by which, one sees in all living beings, one undivided imperishable bhāvam (nature), in numerous divisions, know that to be Sāttvikah (Jñāna).
·         That jñānam by which one sees that there are nana-bhāvān (many natures) of different types in all living beings, must be known as Rājasam.
·         But that Jñāna by which one is attached without cause to one kind of work as the all in all, without knowledge of tattva, and which (Jñāna) is very meager (little), is said to be Tāmasam.
