Mokşa Opadesa

·         Just the way one achieves siddhi, similarly one achieves Brahma. Learn from Me as I summarize the nişţhā (faith) of jñāna, which is superior-most.
·
·         Yuktah (associated with) purified buddhi,
·         regulating the Self (atmānam) by dhŗti,
·         giving up sense-objects like sound,
·         throwing aside attachment and hatred.
·         living in a secluded place,
·         eating a small quantity,
·         having controlled speech, body and mind,
·         always in superior-most dhyāna-yoga,
·         having taken shelter of detachment,
·         Free from
·         ahankāra (false ego)
·         balam (strength)
·         darpam (pride)
·         kāmam  (desire)
·         krodham  (rage)
·         parigraham (acceptance of material things)
·         nirmamah (without a sense of proprietorship)
·         sāntah  (peaceful)
·         One is qualified to attain oneness with Brahma (brahma-bhūyāya kalpate)
·         Being one with Brahma,
·         the ātmā (self) rejoices,
·         neither laments not desires,
·         equally disposed towards all living beings,
·         gains superior-most devotion for Me.
·         By devotion, one can know Me as I am in reality (tattvatah),
·         after knowing Me in reality, he enters (in Me).
·         Even though performing all karma at all times, under My shelter;
·         - by My grace, one achieves eternal imperishable abode.
·         Consciously giving up all karma to Me,
·         (accepting) My superiority,
·         taking shelter in Buddhi-Yoga (association with intellect),
·         always remain in consciousness of Me.
·         Being situated in consciousness of Me, you will overcome all obstructions by My grace, but if you do not hear (Me) because of your ahamkāra (ego), then you will be lost.
·         If you think, taking shelter of ahankāram you will not fight, then this is all your false determination (vyavasāyah). (As your) prakŗtih will (anyway) engage you (in fight).
·         Born of svabhāva, bound by your own karma you will do involuntarily even that, which you like not to do under illusion.
·         Isvara resides in the heart of all living beings, causing them to wander (bhrāMāyān), placing them on a yantra (machine) by Māyā.
·         Certainly surrender unto Him in all respects. By His grace you will attain supreme peace and you will attain eternal abode.
·         Thus I have explained to you Jñāna, which is secret of secrets. After fully considering this, do what you wish to do.
·         Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and Namaskruru (do Namaskara unto) Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I truly promise you this. You are dear to Me.
·         Giving up all (your) dharma, take refuge in Me only. I shall liberate you (moksayisyami) from all sins. Do not worry.
·         This (Jñāna) is never to be spoken by you to one
·         who is atapaskāya (to one who does not do Tapa or is not austere),
·         who is abhaktāya (to one who is not a devotee) at any time.
·         who is aśuśrūşave (who is not willing to hear) and
·         who is abhyasūyati (envious) of Me.
·         One who explains this supreme secret to my devotees, while having the highest Bhakti for Me, undoubtedly (he) comes to Me.
·         Never also among people anyone will become dearer to Me than him, nor also in this world.
·         He who will study this dharmyaḿ saḿvādam (conversation of ours on dharma), I shall be worshipped by him by Jñāna-Yajña, thus is My opinion.
·         And one who listens with faith and without envy, certainly he also becomes free (from sins) and attains the auspicious lokān (planets) of puņya-karma (pious deeds).
